As you know, our Annual General Meeting has been delayed until our meeting on November 10. This is a final call for nominations to the electable positions on the Management Committee. These include, President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Membership Coordinator. There are presently nominees for all positions except for Vice-President. Nominations will be open until Saturday, October 24. The list of nominees will be released on October 25. A further call for nominees for a vacant position will be made at the AGM

Hello all,
This is Ken Marsh on behalf of your Bylaw Review Committee. It has been pointed out to me that in the proposed bylaws that there is an inconsistency in terminology. Under Section V-1 - Executive. The "Membership Secretary" should read "Membership Coordinator" to be consistent with other terminology in the document.
The revised bylaws will be voted on at our Annual General Meeting on November 10

This is advance notice that this year the PROBUS Christmas dinner will be at the Mary Winspear Centre on December 9th. Members and guests are requested to
arrive for drinks and chat at 5:30 pm before dinner at 6:30 pm. The cost will be $75 per person. Please note the date in your diary.
Photo of the Month
This is a Pileated Woodpecker that was attacking one of our trees. The Pileated Woodpecker is the largest woodpecker in North America, measuring 16 to 19 inches long with a wingspan of close to 30 inches. Their favourite meal is carpenter ants. Could have used one around the clubhouse recently.
